Information

Address
26a Tubac Road 85646
Directions
exact location of station is on the western side of Old Presidio Traders. notes: Use of this station is donated free to all who need it since 2013 Q4. Through this writing in 2018 Q4, it is still the only J1772 open to the public for dozens of miles in any direction, and with this in mind we ask that users try to follow these guidelines: 1. Please make sure to use the yellow walkway warning sign every time you plug in your vehicle. The site owner has consistently mentioned this as a top concern. 2. PHEVS are allowed to use the site. 3. BEVs take priority over PHEVs and can unplug them if needed (gently please). PHEV owners please disable your cord disconnect alarm. 4. During retail hours, there may be an ICE parked in the main charging spot. If it is, then if if the spot just to the west is open, please go ahead and try that one. If both spots are ICE'd please go ahead and ask *politely* inside the shop if it is possible the vehicle could be moved. We have found they are very responsive. 5. Please keep in mind that use of the site is donated to the community and unfortunately we do not have the budget for it to be networked. Please go out of your way to observe good etiquette and good will in using this site, even if you think your fellow driver is not doing the same. 6. While it has been very reliable so far, someday there may be a problem. There is also a 120 Volt outlet there, but if that doesn't work or is not adequate, keep in mind that there will probably be little that can be done immediately, and you may have to try to make it to another plug. Issues can be reported both to the store and to 520-216-0104. 7. There are one or two bed and breakfasts within 10 or 20 minutes walk. There is also a resort about 20 or 30 minutes walk away.
Instructions
It is 100% free, no access restrictions, codes, keys or RFID. Just plug it in. Please remember to use the walkway warning sign every time you plug in.

I am a co-administrator to the site, but have also used it a few dozen times since 2013 and so I will say that it has been good. I have a PHEV and so I try to carry a small sign and put it on the cord that it is ok for people to unplug me if they are driving a BEV and need a charge more than I do.
